Lance’s friends describe him as professionally eclectic, as he has successfully initiated and managed businesses in education (public speaking instructor, training consultant), private investigation, financial services, fitness, and tourism. In 2008, Lance discovered his passion: professional raconteur. Today, his purpose is sharing stories while exploring the San Francisco Bay area with his wife and dog, the home he chose 35 years ago after living abroad for much of his life.
Fluently bilingual: English and Spanish.

Ideal Sunday

Winter: Early afternoon row around Alcatraz., followed by lunch and the Sunday Times with my dog and wife at Café International in the Lower Haight Ashbury.
Summer: Early morning swim around Aquatic Park Cove with my dog, followed by afternoon trip to the Petaluma in the Sonoma wine country for actual summer weather and an outdoor meal with dog, wife Sunday Times.

Travel Item

A towel (see link for more detailed explanation; I can personally attest to many of these uses: The Towel) and a serious book I intend but never make time to read.

You Must Know

"Traveling is a brutality. It forces you to trust strangers and to lose all that familiar comfort of home and friends. You are constantly off balance. Nothing is yours except the essential things: air, sleep, dreams, sea, the sky – all things tending towards the eternal or what we imagine of it." Cesare Pavese
"…in the end, you won’t remember the time you spent working in the office or mowing your lawn. Climb that goddam mountain." Jack Kerouac

Bucket List

I haven’t been everywhere yet, but it’s on my list.

My Role

I get to meet and know the most INTERESTING people and leave them pleased to have met and know me.
