Liz Garibay

A vibrant part of Chicago’s cultural scene, Liz Garibay got her start as a spry intern at the Field Museum with an interest in anthropology and archeology. With time, her interests created opportunities for positions at almost every museum in the city where she’s curated exhibitions and public programs while regularly giving lectures at cultural institutions and centers of higher education such as Harvard and MIT. As a renowned pub historian she specializes in the history and culture of alcohol, and is the founder of the Chicago Brewseum, America’s first museum dedicated to beer.
