As a Charlestonian, Julia grew up exploring her historic city and surrounding Sea Islands known as “The Lowcountry” by foot. She obtained a History and Education Degree from Furman University and came back home to teach history before spending 37 years living across the U.S. becoming a Manager in IBM’s Global Solution Center. Since retiring home, she was the Volunteer Coordinator for the Preservation Society and is currently serving as the VP of the Charleston Tour Association.
