Heather MERIAU

Alameda, CA (Though believe it or not, I actually grew up in a log cabin just outside San Francisco in a tiny unincorporated wooded hamlet.)

Aisle or Window

Aisle seat. It makes me SO happy looking down on the clouds, and flying into the Bay Area, picking out my house among the landmarks. Experience has also taught me I need freedom to get up and move around on long flights.

Hidden Gem

Too many Hidden gems to name just one. Alameda’s Victorian homes, beaches and the Sunday flea market, all with amazing views of SF skyline.

Ideal Sunday

Riding bikes on the beach to the naval base breweries and food trucks. We tow our dogs in their own little wagon.

Travel Item

Bose noise cancelling headphones!!!

You Must Know

You MUST know that weather here is one of our coolest features. Literally and figuratively. Bring a jacket. Especially in July. And comfy shoes you can walk up and down hills in!

Bucket List

2018 we went on Safari, which checked a HUGE box. Next up is a cross country road trip with our Tesla, mini Airstream and 2 pups.

My Role

The teacher in me loves providing a lens to help people and explore and learn about this very special place.
